Objective

Build Paddletek’s first limited early-access platform for emerging technology, beginning with the debut of Honeyfoam. The program needed to create excitement among loyal players, turn exclusivity into a meaningful brand experience, grow the company’s email audience, and establish a model that could extend to future innovation launches.

Approach

Developed Reserve as a complete sub-brand and launch system spanning identity, product design, packaging, photography, motion, web, social, email, and rollout strategy. A whiskey reserve-inspired creative world gave the program its character, while a gated email-first release made early access part of the experience and created a repeatable framework for future drops.

Results

Reserve Honeyfoam sold through its 2,000-unit production run within the first month, with several hundred paddles purchased during a five-hour email-exclusive early access window. The launch added thousands of new subscribers to Paddletek’s email audience and successfully piloted Reserve as a platform for introducing new technology ahead of the main product line.

The challenge: turn early access to new technology into something players would anticipate, collect, and feel part of.

The photographic direction established the world of Reserve: deep blacks, rich reds, brushed metal, wax, fire, and restrained light gave the launch the ceremony and craftsmanship of a limited release pulled from a private collection.

The identity system paired Paddletek’s established wordmark and product architecture with a custom Reserve script, serialized details, wax seals, and a tightly controlled black, red, and metallic palette. The system gave Reserve its own signature while keeping every release visibly connected to the master brand.
